about

After Pieces of a Broken Day, we were ready to get working on our next project, and we did record a whole album, entitled "Right Through All My Secrets" - using Rob's equipment, mostly at Jeff's apartment over Memorial Day weekend in 2000. That album is still excellent material, and we are working on bringing it to completion for publishing, so stay tuned!

However, in late summer of 2000 we were presented with an opportunity to play at a Christian camp festival - Lake Luther Fest in Angola, IN.

We started working on new material for that event, and from that came the songs of Heartmap.

Matt's friend from seminary (and former professional drummer), John West, played with us at Lake Luther Fest in 2001 and 2002, and also recorded most of the drums for Heartmap.

The album was finished and released in time for our Lake Luther Fest 2002 performance.

It was actually released at a performance at Matt's seminary internship congregation, Immanuel Lutheran Church of North Blissfield, Michigan. We had gathered from far and wide (Rob came back from Italy) for rehearsal at the church to gear up for LLF, and at the end of rehearsal, we actually rocked one of the light fixtures off the ceiling, and it crashed down in the aisle! We were a little freaked out, embarrassed, and a little secretly proud of the power of the rocking all at once!
